I’ve mentioned it a few times already, but I am excited to welcome the new season of fall. It’s my favorite time of year, with bright colours, crisp autumn mornings, pumpkin and apple flavored everything. I get to bring out my favorite sweaters, and I have the perfect reason to snuggle up in front of the fireplace.
I also love how the undercurrent of change is so visual. The colours of the leaves from bright greens to yellows, oranges, reds. Right before our eyes, change is happening. Mother Nature is giving us a hint, this is the perfect time of year to change up our routines, try something new and shake things up.
Fall is the time to embrace change. With just three months left of 2015, this is the perfect time to look to create new habits an end the year strong. Or to rejuvenate goals and plans set in the beginning of 2015? I did a little check of posts I wrote in January, and would you believe I never set goals and resolutions?!? How the heck did that happen?
You know what? That’s fine with me. I need to set a few little baby goals that I can work on until the end of the year.
I know. I know. I sound like a typical blogger here where I make notes to write more, but I need to keep on carving the time to write my ideas and get them onto this space. I am thinking about doing another blogging challenge in October. Would anyone else like to join me?
I’ve tried guided meditation on and off in the past, but it’s something that I’ve never really stuck to. I need to figure out a way of taking 10-15 minutes each day to get a bit of clarity.
This goal is in more ways than one! I need to stretch myself professionally, growing into my role as I manage multiple projects and lead a dynamic (and opinionated) team. I will constantly need to stretch myself to grow into a better leader and manager. I also need to actually stretch more, with practicing a bit of yoga a few times a week. (See what I did there? Two goals in one point. Amazing…)
We have just a little over 100 days until the end of the year, which is more than enough time to create a few new habits heading into 2016. As I progress, I will keep you all updated especially about a blogging challenge. Now tell me, do you have any goals that you want to tackle for the rest of the year? How do you plan to embrace the changes of fall?
