Hi friends, and happy Monday! Can you believe that we are in the last week of February? I can hardly believe it! It seems like just a few weeks ago it was Christmas and now we are on the cusp of March. I don’t know about you, but I am ready to welcome Spring weather (and the lovely blooms) with open arms.
With spring comes the idea of cleaning out the winter cobwebs, and get everything fresh for the new season. Have we ever given thought to doing the same for our mental attitudes or outlook? How about a little spring cleaning for our minds and get set for the fresh spring season?
Here are three few ways I am planning on spring cleaning my mental attitude energy over the next coming weeks.
Implementing Three Day Rule
This “Three Day Rule” is something brand new that I have been applying to my day to day life. It’s pretty simple. I won’t allow myself to go more than three days without doing cardio workout, working on the blog and reading for a good block of time. For example, if I work out on Sunday afternoon then I have to work out again by at least Wednesday. The three day rule is simple in concept, and helps to keep me on track to build fresh healthy habits.
Adding a Little More Cardio
I have struggled with my fitness (and being out of shape) for as long as I can remember. But, I am trying to add more cardio workouts regularly, especially keeping the three day rule from above in mind. And what I have discovered, in my short time of getting more cardio, is how clear my brain feels after a brief workout. This is especially true after a stressful day!
Soaking up the Fresh Air
I know that we have our “Sunny Day Rule” but with Spring right around the corner, it is the perfect time to get as much fresh air as possible. During the week, I will head out on my lunch for bit of walk and exploring in Chester. On the weekends, I will make sure to head out with Neal and Freddy for a little adventure and exploration. Anytime I can get a bit of fresh air, the cobwebs and negative energy are cleared away right away.
Tell me friends, do you have any mental attitude cleaning planned? What are your steps for refreshing your outlook and get set for spring? I’d love to hear from you!
