Pack the Suitcase & Go

Come with Me to the End of the World {Travel Tuesday}

Greetings my lovely little jelly beans and welcome to another installment of Travel Tuesday.  Get ready to pack your virtual suitcase and hop around the world though blog posts.  {I love this linkup, so much fun!}

Today I thought I would take you to the end of the world, literally.  Come with me to Ushuaia, Argentina…gateway to Antarctica at the base of the stunning Tierra del Fuego and incredible mountain range that took by breath away each and every time.   Not sure where Ushuaia is? Neither had I, until I visited…so show you how close to the end of the world Ushuaia, Argentina is, I included a map:

Ushuaia  Argentina

Woah. Talk about the end of the world, right?

Curious how far this destination is from the rest of the world? Here is a bit of proof:

End of the World Argentina

The incredible thing about this spot in the world, is the stunning views that you could see right from the ship in port.  The jagged mountain range was so beautiful, which say alot because by that point I had seen Alaska {woah} and I am originally from the lovely mountain filled state of Washington.  Jaw dropping vistas that are not given justice in the few snapshots below.  Plus, since it is the port of departure for Antarctica, there is an explorer/adventure spirit of the town.

Southern Argentina

See what I mean about how stunning Ushuaia, Argentina is? Have you ever traveled to a spot where it was stunningly beautiful? I’d love to hear your jaw dropping spots!

Also, I wanted to share with you a little about my Co-Host for Travel Tuesday and my oh-so-lovely Sponsor, Bonnie from A Compass Rose.  If you haven’t met her yet, be sure to pop over and say hello!

Bonnie Rose

BlogLovin‘ // Twitter // Facebook

My name is Bonnie Rose and I have yet to ever line in one place for longer than three years. That is a pretty good sum up of my life growing up as a military brat, being a USAF wide, a third culture kid and now living the Expat life with my husband and our two kids. I write about our travels and my work as a photographer. I say I’m English with an American accent as I am a dual citizen.

 Now Bonnie, if you had to take one place to bring a tourist, where would you go? The Roman Baths. I love visiting them and you can actually go to the thermal spa that is heated the same as the water at the baths.

I am hoping to make it to Bath, England soon to check out Bonnie’s recommendations! Be sure to pop over and say hello to her, Bonnie has amazing content that is changing all the time! My fave? Her photography tutorials: expert advice but without complicated jargon!

  • Beautiful! It looks like a chilly place though – was it? In my mind South America is always hot, but since Ushuaia is so far south, I’d image that it’s pretty cool.

      Hi Lisa! I thought that too, until I was actually there! Northern Argentina is much warmer, like Buenos Aires and such. But totally chilly and mountainous! And simply stunning!

    I used to live in an area of North London called World’s End Lane – it felt like it too, but after seeing your map above, obviously that seems rather silly now! 😀

It’s one of my life goals to travel to Antarctica one day and while it will probably be a long while until I will make this happen, chances aren’t so slim that I’ll get to visit this place one day. 🙂 I would love to know more about your cruise ship adventures and I certainly hope you’ll continue doing this link up! I love it! 🙂

I love that you visited the end of the world and am putting it on my travel bucket list immediately! I linked up to Chefchaouen, or the Blue City of Morocco. The city decided to make itself distinct by painting everything blue. It is absolutely gorgeous!
