Hooray for Costco in the UK
Now, I hope you don’t judge me… but I have a bit of a confession. I really, really enjoy going to Costco. {Insert judgement here.} But, wait! Let me explain…. You see Costco is an American company, based in Washington State (you know Kirkland Brand? As in Kirkland, Washington), and the Costco layout here in the UK is nearly identical as those in the US. While we stroll through the isles buying bulk of stuff we don’t need (like 1,000 tea bags) I find myself feeling a little less homesick.
To prove that the UK Costco is very similar to those in the US, I just had to snap some pictures of our last visit….

NCAA basketballs, Food Court with the hot dog meal, garden decor and good ol American beer. (Yes that’s Coors Light.)
Of course, there are plenty of British-type goodies that I wouldn’t find back home.

Digestives (or biscuits), Belgian Waffles anyone?, Yeah, that’s milk (not in the fridge. I don’t get it either.) and Tea….a whole lot of tea
I thought you would enjoy this fun little post about a very day-to-day outing here in Wales (sprinkled with a bit of American goodies). Silly I know, but I just had to share!
XO,

Greetings and welcome to my little corner of the blogging world. My name is Belinda and I am a newly married lady who moved from Seattle to Northern Wales. Why? To be with the love of life Neal. My blog is my attempt of making sense of my new life as a wife and an expat.

I am totally jealous! We do not have anything like that over here!
It is a nice little bonus to have, and it is close to where I work which is even better. When I am there, I actually don’t feel like I am in the UK anymore (as strange as that sounds…)
I understand because sometimes I forget I am in Sweden too!
the milk is UHT milk and therefore doesn´t need cooling until it is opened
Oh, thanks for explain the great milk mystery. I have avoided that type of milk since I’ve gotten here.
Ah, Costco! I’m impressed that your abode in the UK has storage for anything bulk. We have zero storage in our house. I can barely find a place to put my box of 100 tea bags!
Oh that is too funny! When we come back from Costco (with always more then we need, typical…right?) I have to get very creative in where things are stored. But really at the end of the day who doesn’t need 1000 tea bags or 3 jars of mustard!
