Greetings my lovely blog readers and an oh-so-happy Monday morning to you. (I hope a happy morning is on your way, I know that Mondays are not very much fun but it is what it is…) Also, I have a lovely guest post over at Dream It, Darling with my five tips for adjusting as an expat. Check it out here.
My weekend was a great blend of a mini-adventure plus relaxing and charging up the batteries. Instead of talking about how I watched Nashville and Storage Wars (but no Oscars, I was sound asleep) I wanted to share our mini-adventure to the beach on Saturday. And this time Freddy came along for the fun.
Neal had to pick up a garden wagon from his friend’s parents, which was about 60 miles away. Now normally in the US, that would take about 1 hour going 60 miles per hour. (I am amazing at math, right?) Well, since we were driving in Wales with curvy country roads it took a bit more like 2 hours which is more than fine since we were on a mini-adventure.
With errand complete and garden wagon in tow, we were only a mere 15 minutes from tall sea grass and sandy beaches. So of course, we headed in that direction to let Freddy (and let’s be honest…us too) have a bit of time at the beach.
Oh, and here is one fun fact about the beach in February. It is stinking cold. So cold in fact that I saw white snow flakes dancing around me. With that, we didn’t stay very long but the sea air was refreshing and Freddy had a ball running and playing.
What about you? How was your weekend? Any mini-adventures? Or did you soak up Oscar fun? Be sure to visit Dream It, Darling for my guest post today! Such fun…
