My Weekend: Castles, Sheep, Roman Ruins and an Abbey (but not Downton)
Hello blog readers near and far! Neal and I have just returned from our trip to south Wales, and let me tell you I am pretty exhausted. (Neal even more so, who did all of the driving…bless). I have over 500 images from the weekend, so there are plenty of photography posts in the near future but for now I just wanted to share a few highlights with you all!
I tried to navigate on our trip. Needless to say, I wasn’t very successful. (I am very thankful we are not going on a roadtrip throught Europe…talk about stressful!)

I tried to navigate. That wasn’t too successful. We switched to Google Maps eventually…
I loved all of the Welsh sheep that just dot the countryside. Bless, bless, bless.

Wales, the land of the sheep. Really…they are everywhere.
We visited three castles, an abbey (not Downton though) and Roman ruins. This was just one of the castles:

Caerphilly Castle
I enjoyed big glasses of wine. Yes, please.

Drinks and dinner in the pub…
Sampled coffee from a killer coffee shop in Cardiff, all based on a recommendation from a lovely blog reader! (Thanks Aimee!)

An amazing coffee recommendation from blog reader Aimee. Thank you!
And we had a 3 hour drive home from Cardiff. I got bored about 45 minutes in. I started snapping pictures of my shoes. Why not?

Entertainment during the drive home….
All in all, a really fun weekend away and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite snap shots later in the week!

XO,

Greetings and welcome to my little corner of the blogging world. My name is Belinda and I am a newly married lady who moved from Seattle to Northern Wales. Why? To be with the love of life Neal. My blog is my attempt of making sense of my new life as a wife and an expat.

Glad you made it to Coffee #1!
Aimee,
Thanks for the recommendation! We only spent a little bit of time in Cardiff, and planning another weekend soon, but Coffee#1 was awesome!
Have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Belinda
