As promised in my Charming Llangollen post, I wanted to share the scenic views after our walk through the town of Llangollen. About a fifteen minute drive (on a narrow..narrow country road) lead us to the Panorama Walk.
See that little town down there? That is Llangollen. The bright green valley is just stunning. And look at all those Welsh sheep!
From this vista point, you can see the ruins of Dinas Bran’, a 12th century castle with historical connection to King Edward I. To get to the top, you have to be prepared to make a hike.
Now, for this history loving girl, but who cringes at the idea of a “hike”, the idea of making it to these ruins could be well worth it. Neal is slowly but surely converting me into someone who may enjoy a walk/hike that results in a stunning vista or historical ruin. (Remember our three mile walk in the park?) Stay tuned for more adventures…
As we drove back to the main road to take us home, the road was scattered with Welsh sheep. It made the drive a bit interesting as the traffic was “stop and go” because of sheep. Alas, only in Wales.
Our day out was followed by homemade chili and brownie ice cream sundaes. Not a bad Saturday!
