LDR Tip #5: Appreciate One Another
Neal and I met in the oddest circumstance. In a bar…we both weren’t planning on go to… in one of the most populated cities (NYC) in the world. And I happened to sit down and order a beer. The odds of us meeting, were stacked against us.
Our story, how we met and fell in love, reminds us on a daily basis to appreciate the destiny, fate and sheer serendipity that brought us together. Not only do we appreciate our relationship, we appreciate one another.
For this week as my LDR tip, I want to encourage fellow LDR-er’s out there to sincerely reflect on your loved one and think how you can express your appreciation for them. Being in a LDR is tough…it isn’t an ideal situation for anyone, no matter how wonderful you are together. Telling your beloved how much you appreciate them for the little things…all the way to the life changing, can help make the miles feel tiny.
And for those blog readers out there who are not in a long distance relationship, why not tell your beloved how much you appreciate them? Works for all kinds of relationships!
